The site of this 1900’s house was in the beautiful Bayside suburb of Elwood. The project involved a small footprint extension to the existing home using a structural insulated panel modular system. This challenging project included a new kitchen, living room, laundry and bathroom within the extension and a renovation to adapt the existing front bedrooms and family room. The delivery and placement of the modular components were a test both logistically and spatially on this tight access site.
Working alongside the project architects, Basus Build overcame these issues to deliver a beautiful extension that is bright and well connected to the garden, while being comfortable and cosy in the cooler months.
Engaging a builder can always be a difficult choice. Meeting Brendan and engaging him as our builder was the best decision we made.
