Our Northcote extension and renovation had all the elements to make for a comfortable resilient home for many years to come. We worked closely with the designer to strike a careful balance between retaining the old and providing for the new. We retained the existing front rooms with the help of a deep energy efficient retro fit… lots of insulation, new windows and interior airtightness membranes. The new extension married seamlessly into the old.
This project featured a heat recovery ventilation system, huge solar gains via the north facing lift and slide doors and remains at a comfortable temperature year-round with just two small split system air conditioners.
